4 Months Old!

As of September 5, Cooper was 4 months old! Where does the time go!? We visited the pediatrician again this past Monday and she said we definitely have a BIG boy on our hands. The good news is that he is a healthy boy!

Cooper now weighs 16 lbs. 9 oz, which keeps him in the 90th percentile for weight. As for height, he is now 25 3/4", which keeps him in the 75th percentile. Those are some nice stats for our future linebacker!

Because Cooper is so BIG, our pediatrician told us that he is definitely ready for food...like yesterday! Therefore, we introduced him to rice cereal & oatmeal this past week. He's still not quite sure what to think about eating from a spoon, but is starting to figure it out...

This was the 1st time we fed him a very liquid version of rice cereal...

Cooper has had lots of other "firsts" over the past week or so too. Dutch put together Cooper's jumperoo from Uncle Rusty & Aunt Chelsie so he tested it out for the 1st time and has been playing in it quite a bit. He is still a bit overwhelmed by all the toys & hasn't quite figured out how to turn around in it (since his feet don't touch the floor yet), but he'll eventually get there. We had to laugh that the first few times Cooper used it he was more fascinated with the springs that are covered in red fabric than any of the fun toys that light up & make noise. Go figure!

Cooper also discovered his toes this past week. Now he likes to constantly grab them and stare at them! It's a game to see how long it takes him to pull off his socks. I'm sure it won't take him long to figure out how to put his toes in his mouth! He's actually tried, but his big belly gets in the way. They won't reach to his mouth quite yet! It is definitely entertaining to watch him do it. He's starting to take after his daddy too! Just watch & you'll all see why...
