Liberty: Round II

Two weeks ago we made our 2nd trip to Liberty with Cooper to visit Dutch's family. It was a past due visit, but Dutch & I were both dreading putting Cooper in the car again for 4 hours each way. On our 1st trip down, he had a bit of a melt down on the way home & it added a good 1+ hour to the drive because we kept having to stop. However, we planned this trip much better & tried to coordinate it with Cooper's bedtime/nap schedule. We definitely succeeded seeing he slept 7 of the total 8 hours round trip. Cooper never woke up once on the way down and woke up the last hour on the way home. Dutch & I put in some kiddy music for that last hour and sang to Cooper. He was definitely entertained with his silly parents singing songs like "B-I-N-G-O" and "No More Monkeys (Jumping on the Bed)" to him! What we do for our kids!! ;)

We had a wonderful weekend and spent lots of time visiting with the family and catching up. Saturday was the perfect fall day too! It actually warmed up into the 70's and the leaves in Dutch's parent's yard were beautiful....

The Hughes family is growing by 1 more grand baby seeing my SIL Kelli (Travis' wife) is prego & due in February. And it's a girl!

We tried hard to get our 1st picture of all 3 grand babies together, but weren't so successful. This is the best one I took. Of course, Cooper is the only one not looking at the camera & smiling! ;)
